Rejuvenate Your Complexion with Microneedling at NeoWell’s Plano Facility

Help Aging & Damaged Skin Look New Again.

We’re all envious of people with perfect complexions, the ones who somehow don’t have redness or uneven texture. Who don’t have even one acne scar. Who somehow have the smooth, glowing skin of someone ten years younger. Maybe they’re naturally blessed—or maybe they’ve discovered microneedling.

Microneedling benefits both women and men by smoothing skin texture and brightening skin tone. It is also used to improve:

Discolored skin, whether from pigmentation conditions or sun damage

Scars (but not keloids)

Enlarged pores

Dull or lackluster skin

Wrinkled skin (see FAQ section for details)

Microneedlings’s effectiveness is well-documented with studies showing a 60-80 percent improvement in fine wrinkles, stretch marks, lax skin, and atrophic (indented) facial scars. A recent study also found that microneedling improved mild to moderate rosacea in 81% of participants (but is not recommended during active flare-ups). Microneedling has even been found to help with some types of hair loss.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a safe, effective, minimally invasive procedure that improves skin tone by jumpstarting new production of collagen. How does it work? During a microneedling procedure, a professional uses a roller or pen-shaped device with tiny needles that prick infinitesimally small holes in the targeted area. Your body reacts to these micro-wounds by producing more collagen and elastin, which results in younger, smoother-looking skin.

Though microneedling uses needles, it is not typically painful. Your NeoWell professional will make you more comfortable by applying a numbing cream prior to the 10-20-minute-procedure and a calming one afterward. Microneedling typically produces no side effects, though there can be some swelling or redness. You can resume your normal activities right after a microneedling session.

You’ll see the impressive effects of microneedling with a week of your procedure. To get optimal results, you may need several treatments. Your NeoWell professional can help you find a schedule that works for you.

Microneedling FAQs

Does microneedling help with wrinkles?

Microneedling can help tighten skin, reducing the look of the type of wrinkles you see in crepey skin. It’s not effective for deeper wrinkles like frown lines.

Does microneedling ruin Botox[CB1]?

No. In fact, the two treatments can complement each other, as Botox tackles the deep wrinkles that microneedling services can’t. That said, you shouldn’t use both at the same time. Consult with your NeoWell professional to determine a good schedule for you.

How much does needling cost?

At NeoWell, we charge $450 on training days vs. $695 retail for Microneedling with Primazome. The amount you’ll need depends on several factors, including age and initial vs. ongoing needs. We’re happy to advise you during a free consultation.
